About Steve Byrum, PhD...
Steve Byrum began working with the material of Robert S. Hartman in 1969. In the early 1970s, he studied under Hartman as part of a Masters and Doctoral program. Since then, Byrum has successfully pioneered many applications of the Hartman Value Profile in business, educational, and counseling settings.
In addition to his graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Byrum holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Southern Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts Degree for Tennessee Wesleyan College. He is the author of thirty-two books and more than one hundred periodical articles, many of which have focused on Hartman’s work. He fills a schedule of ongoing consulting responsibilities with business organizations where he does a great deal of organizational development, planning facilitation, and seminar speaking. His relationship with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee over the years led to the joint venture of Q2HR, which actively markets the Hartman Value Profile.
A native of East Tennessee, Byrum is married and the father of two adult children. He and his wife live in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, where he enjoys running, golf, and lending his avid support to the football team of the University of Tennessee.
